Next to the Corporate Challenge and its tens of thousands of runners, B2Run Frankfurt looks small: 3,400 participants, the city forest and a finish inside the Deutsche Bank Park. That is exactly its opportunity, especially for small companies. The 2027 date is still to come.

In Frankfurt, the word Firmenlauf (corporate run) first brings to mind the city centre in June, packed with tens of thousands of employees. B2Run Frankfurt is the counter-model: on 3 September 2026, 3,400 people from 209 companies ran through the Stadtwald (city forest) and into the Deutsche Bank Park stadium (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt press release 2026). That is a manageable size, and for many teams that is an advantage. This page shows why, and how a small company can even win an award at B2Run Frankfurt.
The biggest corporate run in the city is the JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge. In 2026 it took place on Wednesday, 3 June, at 7 pm, with the start and party around Opernplatz, over 5.6 kilometres, at €38 per person (source: jpmorganchasecc.com, Frankfurt). Only members of a company team with at least four employees can take part (source: jpmorganchasecc.com, Frankfurt FAQ).
B2Run takes a different approach: it runs in late summer, through the woods around the stadium rather than the city centre, and ends with a lap into the Deutsche Bank Park (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt). Individual runners and private teams without an employer are allowed (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt A–Z). If you couldn't run in June because your company doesn't enter a team, this is your second chance.
B2Run has not published the 2027 date yet (as of 3 October 2026). b2run.de shows the 2026 calendar, with more locations to follow shortly (source: b2run.de, home page). The last two editions were in September: Tuesday, 9 September 2025, and Thursday, 3 September 2026 (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt press releases 2025 and 2026). A place cost €36.90 plus VAT at the standard rate in 2026; the opening and early-bird rates had sold out (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt A–Z). How registration through a team captain works is explained in our B2Run 2027 overview.
2026 was the twelfth B2Run Frankfurt; 2025 was the eleventh (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt report 2025). The field is growing fast:
| 2025 | 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| Participants | about 2,700 | 3,400 |
| Companies | 159 | 209 |
| Fastest man | Philipp Beudt, 19:04 | Sebastian Hauf, 17:23 |
| Fastest woman | Felicia Müller, 21:37 | Kate Kaplet, 20:46 |
(Source: b2run.de, Frankfurt report 2025 and press release 2026)
The winning times show there is no elite field at the front. The same goes for the 2026 team rankings: the fastest men's team, DZ Bank Runners, needed 1:41:04 hours for five runners combined; KfW Runners won the women's ranking in 1:51:34 and the mixed in 1:48:21 (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt press release 2026). That works out to an average of roughly 20 to 22 minutes per person.
Besides the fastest teams, B2Run honours the companies that bring the most people to the start, called "Die Fittesten" (the fittest), in three sizes: large companies with more than 1,000 employees, mid-size firms with 251 to 1,000 and small businesses with fewer than 250 (source: b2run.de, Die Fittesten Frankfurt 2026). In other B2Run cities the biggest teams number several hundred; in Freiburg, for example, the University Medical Center fielded 700 starters in 2026 (source: b2run.de, Freiburg press release 2026). In Frankfurt, far fewer were enough:
| Category | 2025 | 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Large company | Asklepios Kliniken, 131 | Rewe Group, 108 |
| Mid-size firm | frankfurter werkgemeinschaft e.V., 50 | Becton Dickinson Rowa, 100 |
| Small business | Deutscher Turner-Bund, 37 | Focused Energy GmbH, 34 |
(Source: b2run.de, Frankfurt report 2025 and press release 2026)
For a small company, that means 35 to 40 people at the start put you right at the top in the last two years. The fittest are determined and honoured before the start, so registrations are what count. Here is how to go about it:
A 2026 newcomer confirms the pull of the stadium finish. Süwag Energie AG has run B2Run Koblenz for about 20 years and joined in Frankfurt for the first time in 2026; "the stadium finish in particular motivated many colleagues to take part," says Andre Fäseke of Süwag (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt press release 2026).
The loop runs through the woods next to the stadium and is largely flat, according to the organiser (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt course). The organiser's pages disagree on the length: the location and course pages say about 5.4 kilometres, the February 2026 press release and the 2025 report about 5.6 kilometres (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt). For your preparation it makes little difference.
In 2026 there were only two waves, at 6 pm and 6:15 pm. Warm-up and lining up started at 5:45 pm behind the main stand on the Sommerweg (source: b2run.de, Frankfurt A–Z). The small field has an upside: after a quarter of an hour everyone is on course, and hardly anyone waits long in the start area.

The 2026 A–Z doesn't say whether the bib works as a transit ticket in Frankfurt, so plan to buy one unless B2Run says otherwise for 2027.
