B2Run Bremen 2027: Along the Weser into the Weserstadion

B2Run Bremen has grown from about 7,500 to 11,500 participants in three years. The 2027 date is still to come – here is how the evening at the Weserstadion works and how it differs from Bremen's second company run.

B2Run Bremen 2027: Along the Weser into the Weserstadion

When the first start bell rings at the Weserstadion, the working day is over: in 2026 it rang on Tuesday, 2 June, at 6 pm, and the party in the stadium went on until midnight (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen). B2Run has not yet published a date for 2027 – 2027 date to follow (as of 3 October 2026, Source: b2run.de). The last two editions were on 12 June 2025 and 2 June 2026, both in early June (Source: b2run.de, press releases Bremen 2025 and 2026).

Team captain, five-person ranking and price tiers work in Bremen as in every B2Run city; it's all collected in our overview B2Run 2027.

A company run that grows every year

Bremen shows well how fast a company run can grow. The numbers come from the organiser's press releases:

Year Participants Companies
2023 about 7,500 –
2024 8,700 –
2025 10,100 (10th edition) 473
2026 11,500 (11th edition) 539

(Source: b2run.de, press releases Bremen February 2026, June 2025 and June 2026)

In 2025 the 10,000 mark was passed for the first time, and in 2026 another 66 companies joined. What that means for you: the cheap rates go early. In 2026 the opening rate (€30.90) and early-bird rate (€33.90) were sold out, and the regular rate of €36.90 applied at the end, each plus VAT (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen).

Two company runs on the Weser: B2Run or Spätschicht?

Besides B2Run, Bremen has a second big company run, the Bremer Firmenlauf zur Spätschicht ("late shift" company run), organised by a different company. Both take place after work and both loop along the Weser – otherwise they differ clearly:

B2Run Bremen Bremer Firmenlauf zur Spätschicht
Latest edition Tue, 2 June 2026 (11th edition) Thu, 20 August 2026 (19th edition)
Course about 6 km along the Weser, finish in the Weserstadion about 5 km around the Weserwehr weir
Who starts company teams, also individuals and private teams teams of 5 or more
Timing for everyone, with team rankings in 2026 for the first time one race with official timing, teams run afterwards
Showers none showers and changing rooms on site
Special feature stadium finish, after-run party in the stadium €5 per entry for a local charity project

(Sources: b2run.de, A-Z and press release Bremen 2026; bremer-firmenlauf.com, home page)

In short: B2Run is the big stadium event with a results list, the Spätschicht the smaller team party with a charity angle. More on the second event: Bremer Firmenlauf zur Spätschicht.

To the Weserstadion without a car

The most important rule for race day was printed in bold in the 2026 A-Z: there was not a single parking space at the venue, and no parking tickets either (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen). In return, on event day your bib counts as a ticket on BSAG trams and buses within the city (fare zones 100 and 101) from 3:00 pm to 11:59 pm. You need to carry it with you (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen).

How to get there (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen):

Because the bib is valid until midnight, it also covers the trip home after the after-run party. For teams that want to celebrate together afterwards, that's the easiest option.

The evening: from warm-up to the party on level 3

Time What happens
4:00 pm Entry to the B2Run Village, info point and cloakroom open
from 4:30 pm DJ and host
from 5:30 pm Warm-up and line-up on the west side of the stadium
6:00 pm First of six start waves, then one every 15 minutes
8:30 pm Award ceremony and get-together in the village
9:00 pm After-run party in the north hospitality area
midnight Party ends

(Source: b2run.de, A-Z and press releases Bremen 2026)

The after-run party on level 3 of the Weserstadion has been part of the programme since 2025, and in 2025 entry was free for participants and fans (Source: b2run.de, press releases February 2026 and June 2025). Spectators in Bremen don't need a fan ticket; the grounds and the stadium are open to them (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen). There are no showers, but there are changing areas on the grounds. You can pay by card, in cash or with food vouchers (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Bremen).

The course: six kilometres by the river

The location page gives about 6 kilometres; the 2025 and 2026 press releases say 6.1 kilometres (Source: b2run.de, course Bremen and press releases). The start is in front of the stadium, then the course follows the bank of the Weser, passing the Weser hydroelectric plant among other spots, before finishing inside the Weserstadion. The organiser describes the loop as largely flat (Source: b2run.de, course Bremen).

For your pacing, that means no hills to worry about, but a distance a bit longer than the usual 5 kilometres. Don't get pulled along by the pace of your wave at the start. The front of the field ran around 20:30 minutes in 2026, well under 3:30 minutes per kilometre – if you're slower, the organiser's running etiquette asks you to line up further back (Source: b2run.de, press release Bremen 2026 and A-Z Bremen).

A running group among the winners

One detail from the 2026 results is interesting for anyone who runs with a group: the fastest mixed team didn't come from a corporation but from Absolute Run Bremen. The fastest woman, Katharina Saathoff in 20:36 minutes, and the runner-up among the men also came from there (Source: b2run.de, press release Bremen 2026). The fastest man was Steffen Behrens of Rheinmetall Electronics in 20:31 minutes; the women's team ranking went to Rheinmetall Electronics and the men's to Airbus (Source: b2run.de, press release Bremen 2026).

That shows what regular training together does – and that B2Run is open not only to company teams but to private teams too. If you're looking for a group in Bremen to run with several times a week until June, you'll find open Lauftreffs (group runs) and run clubs at Running in Bremen. Bring your colleagues: a fixed loop after work is the best training for an event that itself takes place after work.

The biggest teams

"Die Fittesten" (The Fittest) isn't about speed but numbers. In 2026, TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK won among corporations with 336 participants, Abeking & Rasmussen among mid-sized companies with 81, and Wiethe Content among small businesses with 50. A year earlier, TKMS with 287, FR. FASSMER with 70 and Bremer Lloyd Logistics with 30 people had led (Source: b2run.de, press releases Bremen 2025 and 2026). So in 2025, 31 starters would have been enough for a small business to win.
