B2Run Munich is the biggest in the series: more than 30,000 people, sold out by June. What you need to know about the course, finish, travel and the evening in the Olympiapark while the 2027 date is still pending.

No other B2Run comes close to Munich in size: on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, around 1,700 teams with more than 30,000 people lined up in the Olympiapark, and by early June every single start place was gone (Source: b2run.de, Munich report 2026). B2Run hasn't announced the 2027 date yet (as of 3 October 2026). For team captains, now is still the right time to think about Munich, because here the decisive day isn't race day – it's the day registration opens.
2027 date: to follow. For orientation, B2Run Munich 2026 took place on a Wednesday in mid-July, six days before B2Run Nuremberg (Source: b2run.de, home page).
In Munich, all three price tiers sold out in 2026: opening rate €36.40, early-bird rate €41.40, regular rate €46.40, each plus VAT (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). The tiers don't change on fixed dates – they move up as soon as the local quota is used up. In Munich, hesitating doesn't just cost more; it can leave you without a place at all.
How registration via a team captain works in general, and how the team ranking is calculated, is explained in our overview of the B2Run series 2027. For Munich, that means: gauge interest in your company early, book a base quota as soon as the shop opens for 2027, and add places while there are still some left. Names can be changed until one day before the event, and last-minute changes are possible via the QR code on the bib (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). Cancellation is only possible in case of illness, with a doctor's note and a processing fee – so a spare place is easier to hand to a colleague than to give back.
B2Run Munich normally finishes inside the Olympiastadion. That wasn't possible in 2026: because of renovation work in the stadium, the finish moved to the Parkharfe in the B2Run Village (Source: b2run.de, Munich course). The organiser points out one upside: on the final stretch, runners passed right by the team tents, so colleagues were standing directly at the course (Source: b2run.de, Munich report 2026).
Whether the 2027 finish will be back in the stadium or on the Parkharfe again hasn't been announced. We'll update this as soon as the 2027 location page is live.
The 2026 course map shows a loop that covers the park across its full width (Source: b2run.de, Munich course map 2026):
The organiser describes the course as varied and largely flat (Source: b2run.de, Munich course). For pacing, that means: the first two kilometres are crowded, so don't overtake too early. The ramp between km 3 and 4 comes once your legs are warm, and the last kilometre runs past the team tents where your colleagues are waiting. Save a little for that part.
With more than 30,000 people in the park, it helps to plan the day like a trip to a concert. The 2026 schedule (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich):

Distances on site are longer than you'd think. The organiser estimates around 20 minutes on foot from the bag drop in the Olympiahalle to the Village on the Parkharfe, and around 8 minutes from the U3 stop Olympiazentrum to the Olympiahalle. If you're heading straight to the Village, get off at the U1 stop Westfriedhof instead – about 15 minutes from there (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). There are no showers or changing rooms, so arrive dressed to run.
On event day, your B2Run bib is a free ticket across the entire MVV (Munich transport network) area (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). Besides the U1 and U3, tram lines 20 and 21 stop at Olympiapark West and bus 173 at Olympiazentrum. Driving is possible too: in 2026 there was a quota of bookable parking spaces near the stadium via the local business Olympiawerk (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). The organiser still strongly recommends public transport.
Spectators in Munich don't need a ticket – non-runners get free entry to the event area (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich). Because of the July temperatures, everyone may bring one drink of their own, up to 1.5 litres and not in glass. Bringing your own food is not allowed.
The fastest man was Michael Diensthuber of the Federal Railway Authority in 18:09 minutes; the fastest woman was Helen Graf of LMU Klinikum in 21:09. Allianz won two team rankings: the men's with 1:40:03 hours for its five fastest, and the women's with 1:58:29. Deloitte took the mixed ranking in 1:48:46 (Source: b2run.de, Munich report 2026).
In "Die Fittesten" (The Fittest), the ranking of the biggest teams, BMW Group won "Fittest Corporation" with 2,000 participants, ASMPT GmbH & Co. KG "Fittest Company" with 120 and Snke OS GmbH "Fittest SME" with 100 (Source: b2run.de, Munich report 2026). The biggest charity team was MTU Aero Engines AG with 350 people (Source: b2run.de, Die Fittesten Munich 2026).
If you want to race at the front, Munich asks for more than a fast ticket: the Durchstarter are split into two blocks. Only runners who submit proof of the required time start in block A; all other Durchstarter line up in block B (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich).
B2Run Munich falls in high summer, and most start times land between 5 pm and 8 pm. That's also the best time to train with colleagues: once a week straight after work, so your body gets used to heat and evening running. With a few weeks' preparation, almost anyone can manage six kilometres – walking is allowed at B2Run, and walkers without poles use the regular ticket (Source: b2run.de, A-Z Munich).
If nobody at your company organises a group yet, join an open Lauftreff (group run) beforehand. You'll find an overview of the city's groups under Running in Munich. More races across the Munich year, from spring to New Year's Eve, are listed on running events in Munich. If you'd like a second summer goal, take a look at our guide to SportScheck RUN Munich.
